Special thanks to Howard Gale, there all day Friday.  lots of personal messages including thanks and flowers to Senator Murray.         Car top sign caravans - a great project, but need more workers!  100 signs out there, 3 caravans including one on eastside.  improvements make signs sturdier and safer.  bring any old ones in for a free replacement!  thanks especially Mike & Emmia Caldwell, Fred Miller Weekly Vigils         Green Lake vigil, over 200 even after the vote, special thanks matt Holdreith         911 Peace coalition vigil, small but steady, 5 - 10 people, more welcome         Women In Black vigil - 50 to 60 lately         Petitions, tabling - continuing by several individuals         CCGS etc. Procession - newspapers said 4000 participated, good TV coverage.  nice public acknowledgment to SNOW by Alice Woldt.  Thanks all who were peacekeepers and ushers, leafleters, etc.         List serv, "digest" mode.  Tom Shea explained, a way to get fewer or no email messages and still be on SNOW list serv.         1) Go to http://lists.riseup.net/www/info/snow         2) Log in, if necessary         3) Click "My Options"         4) For "Reception Mode", choose "digest"         5) Click "Update". other modes include no mail, you can see all the mail in the archive whenever you want. Assert democratic principles ? Educate the public (reach out in new and old ways) ? Humanize Iraqis ? Find ways to insure that churches stand out against war ? Find channels to express ourselves ? Work on interim elections ? Find ways to counter fear ? Prepare for a terrorist attack – be skeptical about our government ? Study the Constitution, Bill of Rights and new legislation ? Howard will attend the next planning meeting of the group and report back next time with information designed to help us decide whether to fully "endorse” the event ? Have pledge forms and other petitions (?) at the rally in order both to support the overall effort of stopping the war but also to inform people about SNOW ELECTIONS ? Collect town meeting information of candidates/ information distributed to full group ? Continue to find ways to thank the “Nays” and let them know that we are committed to supporting them ? Find information about how/where to contribute to campaigns of the “Nays” ? Continue to press for Cantwell accountability for her vote COMMITMENT CEREMONY ? Two working sub groups (outreach to broader communities and logistics) will work to further plan some public commitment, possibly early December ?
