Ellen B MINUTES - SNOW COORDINATING COMMITTEE 2/24/2003 Present: CC members: Ellen Bovarnick (note taker), Karissa Loewen, Jean Buskin, Rad Cunningham (facilitating), Ruth Yarrow, Ellen Finklestein, Fred Miller, Marcia Mullins, Carl Meyer, Mike Yarrow; guests: Tom K, David M, Bob G, Micheal T, Tim, Jeffrey, Torrie A, 1) Agreed: CC to vote on items with no more than 3 dissenters considered an affirmative vote as decision making process for this meeting. 2) Endorsements: Agreed: Snow will sign on as Sponsor for International Women's Day event at Seattle Center on 3/19/03 from 12-5. Sponsorship rate is $150. Table is available. Ellen F volunteered to line up folks to staff table during event. Agreed: Snow will endorse (level II) the Make Art, Not War event, provided it is fully permitted. Carl volunteered to investigate permit. to organize. Agreed: SNOW will endorse (level II) the 3/5/03 Student Walk Out. Ellen F will coordinate with Jacqueline Passey for follow through with Charlotte Cox. Agreed: SNOW will announce the 3/5/03 NION endorsed event in the SNOW bulletin. 3) Spring SNOW Storm: " Committee formed to work on event: Committee includes Marcia M, Ellen F, Torrie A, & David M. " Committee formed to work on funding/hiring of webmaster and outreach worker/organizer: Committee includes Mike Y, Ruth Y, Ellen B and Carl M. " Fred M will work on organizing events in South King County and Snohomish 4) SNOW Incorporation: " Committee formed to look into incorporation status and advisability. Committee includes Fred M, Torrie A & Rad C. 5) Membership privileges proposal: " CC agreed to schedule discussion for next meeting 6) Web Master proposal: " Agreed: SNOW will appoint webmaster and/or email list manager/s. Web Master will serve on CC. Webmaster and/or list manager is authorized to suspend web/email privileges. Should that happen, "offender" & CC will be informed and review will be available if necessary. CC may reverse decision by a vote of no more than 3 dissenters. Suspension will be permanent after 72 hours until such time as the CC decides to reverse suspension. 7) Meeting with NION: " Ellen F & Rad C will attend 2/26/03 meeting. Should there be a subsequent meeting, Rad C, Carl M & Mike Y will attend as SNOW's representatives. 8) Next meeting: " 3/5/03 4- 8pm at Rad's home in North Seattle. Rad will email directions to CC.
