Creating a Small-Group Email List
Small groups in SNOW can create their own email list. Generally these should be maintained by someone within the group.
How to do it. A reasonably computer-savvy person from the group can go directly to http://lists.riseup.net and create a list. (Look for the "For
consistency's sake, please use a name in the form "snow-groupname" for example: snow-ravenna,
snow-westseattle, etc.
If you have no computer-savvy person with time to do that, email
webmaster@snowcoalition.org,
and include the following information:
- Group name: UNDER 15 characters. For example, if the group is Columbia City / Rainier Valley,
snow-columbiacityrainiervalley is TOO much so create a shorter name.
- An initial list of email addresses to subscribe (if you have it.) People can also
subscribe themselves once the list is created.
OTHER SMALL-GROUP RESOURCES
SNOW is able to provide the following for any small group that wants them:
- A forwarding email address @snowcoalition.org, such as ballard@snowcoalition.org
or artists@snowcoalition.org.
- Web site space for your own pages (maintained by you). For details, please contact webmaster@snowcoalition.org
