Seattle Councilmember Richard Conlin supports citizens in opposition to the War on Iraq

I am proud to be part of the growing movement of citizens across this country and around the world that is voicing opposition to the Bush Administration's apparent intention to wage war on Iraq.

In an era in which our government is chipping away at fundamental civil rights it is all the more crucial that we stand together and exercise our democratic right to protest a war that would be unjustified, expensive, divisive and, worst of all, deadly. Thank you to SNOW for your excellent organizing, leadership and commitment and to all the neighborhood groups who are carrying this vital message of peace. Let the voice of the people be heard: NO WAR ON IRAQ!
