INSTANT RUNOFF VOTING

The SNOW Coordinating Committee has endorsed the campaign to bring Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) to Washington State. Initiative 318 allows voters to rank candidates in order of preference. A candidate that receives over 50% of the votes wins. If no candidate achieves a majority, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated. Petitions will be available at the next General SNOW Meeting but can also be picked up at the SNOW office, 220 N 70 th Street. You can contact IRV for Washington (IRVWA), www.irvwa.org to learn more about IRV.

Contact your Senators and Congresspeople (Visit vote-smart.org to find out who yours are and how to contact them.)

Wear a 'No War' button.

Get a copy of a flier and distribute them in your neighborhood.

Collect signatures for the Peace Pledge.
