Here's how it works: You decide to contribute (and redirect from your federal income taxes) $91.10 or $9.11 toward organizing efforts to stop the war, and you send us a check for that amount. Then, when you pay your federal taxes for this year, you subtract the redirected amount from your total paument. You can choose to write a letter of explanation to the IRS (and/or to your congressional representative) or not. If, at some point in time, the IRS takes action against you, your penalties and interest would be minimal, unless you choose to engage in further resistance. Our aim is to convince hundreds, then thousands of participants to support this campaign, further reducing the risks and multiplying the impact on public policy.
