Organize a community meeting!

(from the SNOW listserv)

"...hats off to Tom Herriman, who organized a tremendous neighborhood gathering against the war Saturday. He invited everyone within a few blocks of his house, and sweetened the deal by borrowing a cider press and squeezing dozens of gallons of fresh cider. Several folks brought more fruit from their own trees, and children were busy picking every last apple from the trees in Tom's yard. Neighbors met, shared anti-war concerns, and signed a petition to Pres. Bush. By the end of the afternoon, about 75 people had come by, including a caravan of cars with cartop signs. If anyone is wondering how they can rally their neighbors, I'm sure Tom can share a few tips."
